MSU Guide: Navigating Michigan State University Made Easy

MSU Guide is an innovative application developed by the Michigan State University Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities (RCPD) to assist individuals in exploring and finding their way around the Michigan State University (MSU) campus in East Lansing. This interactive app is designed to be accessible and useful to all, while specifically catering to those with visual, spatial, and mobility disabilities.

With MSU Guide, users can effortlessly identify important campus landmarks using three core tools. The first tool, WAND, allows users to point their iPhone at any building on campus to instantly discover its name and other relevant information, including wheelchair accessible entrances. The second tool, MAP, provides a comprehensive map of the campus, allowing users to drop a pin on any landmark and view a compass that locks onto the closest landmark under the pin. Lastly, the SEARCH function enables users to locate any campus building by name using the iOS home screen search function (Spotlight). Once a building is selected, the app will lock onto it, providing users with real-time information on its location relative to their position.

MSU Guide is committed to continuous improvement and has exciting new features in the pipeline to further enhance campus navigation. Whether you're a student, employee, or visitor at MSU, this app is your go-to companion for exploring and navigating the campus with ease.
